Recognized for his sharp lyricism, dynamic stage presence, and global impact, J.I.D promises an unforgettable evening for hip-hop fans in Kuala Lumpur. Born and raised in East Atlanta, Grammy-nominated J.I.D was shaped by his parents’ collection of classic funk and soul LPs before emerging on the hip-hop scene with his 2015 EP DiCaprio. His talent caught the attention of J. Cole, leading to his signing with Dreamville/Interscope and the release of his major-label debut The Never Story (2017), followed by the critically acclaimed DiCaprio 2 (2018). That same year, he was named to XXL’s Freshman class.

J.I.D’s career has since seen remarkable milestones, including standout performances on Dreamville’s Platinum-certified and Grammy-nominated compilation Revenge of the Dreamers III (2019), the global success of “Enemy” with Imagine Dragons, and his widely celebrated 2022 album The Forever Story.

In 2025, he released God Does Like Ugly, praised as one of the year’s strongest hip-hop albums, featuring collaborations with Eminem, Clipse, Ciara, and more. A captivating live performer, J.I.D has sold out venues worldwide and graced the stages of major festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Bonnaroo. Now, Kuala Lumpur audiences will experience one of contemporary rap’s most compelling voices live on stage.
